Overview
The Scions are a mysterious faction who utilize manikins — autonomous constructs — as tools, workers, and fighters. Their distinctive marking was found on the destroyed manikins aboard the train. The Forsaken scout claimed the Scions orchestrated the attack on the train, using their manikins to ambush and infect people with the Scourge.
What We Know
- Use manikins (autonomous humanoid constructs) as their primary tools
- Have a distinctive symbol/marking found on their constructs
- Dress in scientific/steampunk/Victorian-style clothing
- Cal Clyde recognized their mark from his time in the City
- Manikin parts found on the train alongside dead Forsaken — evidence of a battle
- One manikin near the dining car entrance had residual lightning arcing through it
- The Forsaken scout claimed Scions attacked his group and tried to infect them with the Scourge
- Forsaken aboard the train wore attire similar to Scions (per Cal Clyde’s observation)
Manikins
The Scion manikins are humanoid constructs:
- Can be armed (one had a broken machete)
- Some have electrical properties (residual lightning)
- Can be destroyed — shattered parts found throughout the train
- Carry the Scion marking for identification
- A broken manikin torso was observed dragging itself along the floor, still active despite being severely damaged
Party Relations
Currently unknown — the party has only encountered Scion manikins (destroyed ones) and heard the Forsaken’s account of their actions.
